Russia vs. UAV

     Ranking #1 of 145 on the charts of Global Fire Power, the United States has been labeled as a superior war-fighting machine with elite militaries postured to defend and assure our nation's allies anytime, anywhere. Though we once used periscopes to track our adversary’s activity dangerously close to or behind enemy lines, we now monitor and engage our enemies from a safe distance of 50,000ft above them by use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or commonly referred to as “Drones”. Amidst the ongoing conflict with Ukraine and Russia, the United States was operating a UAV in international airspace over the Black Sea when two manned Russian fighter aircraft flew overhead dumping their fuel multiple times in an attempt to deter or disable the UAV. On a final close encounter, one of the Russian fighter aircraft struck the UAV’s propeller ultimately resulting in the UAV crashing into the Black Sea.
